Responsibilities:


JOB PURPOSE
Investigates and analyses consumer trends and lifestyles, including technology trends and design trends.


DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Keeps continuously abreast of the latest in consumer, societal and global trends including that within the fields of design and technology
  
• Actively investigates into the drivers behind each trend and generates hypotheses as to the implications of trend changes
  
• Leads the implementation of research projects as assigned and organizes and structures primary and secondary research data in a logical manner for further analysis
  
• Compiles and writes reports with critical thought and objectivity that meet research and editorial standards
  
• Actively engages in the further analysis of research findings

Requirements:


Qualifications

• Degree in the Social Sciences, Mass Communications or Journalism

Experiences

• A minimum of one year of experience in a relevant field is required. However, fresh graduates with the right aptitude and academic interest are welcome to apply
  
• Candidates with prior editorial or feature-writing experience will be have a distinct advantage
  
• Competencies (Knowledge, Skills and Capabilities)
  
• Interest in trends, be it in technology, infocommunications, fashion and design, is essential
  
• Possesses good analytical skills with the ability to look at information from broad and varied perspectives
  
• Proficient in both written and spoken English
  
• Open-minded and willing to learn
